Isralight Office Manager – NYC based (Part-time Position )

Job Description

Isralight, an international Jewish educational organizational is seeking an office manager ( twenty five hours) per week for its NYC office.

Specific tasks include: * Coordinate all operational logistics before, during and after Isralight events (periodic intimate gatherings for major donors, lectures & book signings for community audiences, seminars and training programs for rabbis and educators) * Develop and distribute event marketing/promotional materials as appropriate * Prepare post-event reports * Donor relations – secure meetings, arrange parlor meetings and private classes with current and potential donors for rabbinic staff * Maintain regular correspondence of organizational news to board members, donors and volunteers (e-mail press releases and newsletters) * Responsibilities include reception, general correspondence, photocopying, meeting and & executive travel coordination, office management, and special projects where needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s degree * Minimum 3 years experience in office management * Exceptional organizational skills with keen ability to manage details * Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to relate to a broad constituency (i.e. students of all backgrounds, educators, donors, vendors, volunteers) * Self-motivated; ability to multi-task and work independently * Computer proficiency – MS Office, data bases and internet * Proficient writing and proofing skills – (i.e. letters to donors, promotional materials) * Ability to work some evenings and weekends * Knowledge of Hebrew and Jewish community a plus

COMPENSATION

This is a part-time position (twenty-five hours per week). Compensation will be both competitive and commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience.
