Operations Associate
at Alliance for Health Reform in Washington , DC
The Alliance for Health Reform is seeking an Operations Associate to handle a variety of financial, administrative, and human resources duties, along with the logistical aspects of conducting briefings on Capitol Hill and other locations.
Responsibilities
* Handle financial management tasks and other major administrative duties including, but not limited to, writing checks and investing surplus funds * Oversee benefits, maintenance of personnel and procedures manual, and purchases * Coordinate the logistics for briefings, press events and seminars on Capitol Hill and other sites * Organize the preparation of memos and interim and final grant reports for more than 30 events a year * Assist the executive vice president in communicating with the board of directorsQualifications
* Excellent financial management, writing, conference planning, and organizational skills * Thorough knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and other office computer software * Ability to work well with others, using good judgment to handle requests/problems in supervisors’ absence or refer callers on to appropriate source * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with staff and people at all levels in other organizations * Commitment to the substantive goals of the Alliance (www.allhealth.org)Compensation
Salary approximately $45,000, depending on experience. Benefits include health, life and disability insurance and a pension plan.
