at Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International in Washington DC

Health Policy Project Manager

Employer: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International

Description: Health Policy Project Management Opportunity at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Washington DC

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the world’s largest charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research, is seeking an experienced health policy project manager in its Washington DC Government Relations office.

JDRF was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with type 1 diabetes - a disease that strikes children, adolescents, and adults suddenly, makes them insulin dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. Since inception, JDRF has provided more than $1.16 billion to diabetes research worldwide. More than 85 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education. JDRF's mission is constant: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

The Manager, New Technology Access will help manage a significant initiative of the Foundation focused on accelerating the development, regulatory approval, health insurance coverage, and clinician adoption of new therapies for patients with type 1 diabetes. Additional Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have 5-8 years experience working on health issues in the government, nonprofit, or private sector; exceptional management, leadership, analytical, and communications skills; and substantial knowledge of the U.S. health care system. How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit a cover letter with salary requirement and resume to jobs@jdrf.org with “MNTA” in the subject.

Only those candidates who meet our qualifications will be contacted.

No phone calls please. No staffing agencies please.

Please visit www.JDRF.org/careers for all our Career opportunities.

JDRF is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
